Water Games

Barmy Balloon BungPlayers: Two teams
Need a supply of balloons, partly filled with water.
Each team picks a player to be the ‘Catcher’, who stands on a chair behind the opposing team. On ‘Go’ a balloon is thrown into the centre of the area. teams must attempt to throw the balloon to the catcher to score points.
NO RUNNING WITH THE BALLOON OR PHYSICAL CONTACT.
Players who pop the balloon give a point to the other team.

Knee Drenching

Players: Equal Teams
Need a good supply of water filled balloons.
Teams form a relay. On ‘Go’ the 1st person in each team places the balloon between their knees and hops to a point marked out some distance away and back again. They then pass the balloon to the next player. No hands are allowed. If they drop the balloon they must stop and replace the balloon between their knees. If the balloon bursts, they must wait for a new balloon. The team that manages to complete the runs, wins.

Good Doggy 

Players: Equal teams
Need bowls of water, empty bowls and clean sponges
Relay – Place bowls of water with a sponge in front of each team. About 10 metres in front of the team, place an empty bowl. On ‘Go’ the first player picks up a wet sponge with their teeth and runs to their empty bowl. They can use their hands to squeeze the sponge out into this. They then run back and put the sponge back in the water bowls and the 2nd player continues the game until all have completed the course.
YOU NEED TO SET THE TIME ALLOWED!
Team with the most water wins.

Malteser Dunking 

Players: Equal Teams
Each Team: A bowl of water and a packet of Maltesers
Players sit in relay form, with a bowl/bucket of water about 5 meters in front of the team. Just prior to start of game, pour Maltesers into the water. All hands are to behind backs. On ‘Go’, 1st players run to bowl/bucket grab a sweet with teeth and run back to the second player. 1stteam to eat all the sweets is the winner.Mallow Dunking

Player: Equal Teams
Each Team: A bowl of water and a packet of Mallows
Players sit in relay form, with a bowl/bucket of water about 5 meters in front of the team. Leaders are to drop 2 or 3 sweets at a time into water, as players come to bowls. All hands are to behind backs. On ‘Go’, 1st players run to bowl/bucket grab a sweet or two with their teeth and run back to second player. 1st team to eat all the sweets is winner.

Jelly Dunking

Players: Equal Teams
Each Team: A bowl of water and a packet of Jelly Babies
Players sit in relay form, with a bowl/bucket of water about 5 meters in front of the team. Just prior to the start of the game, pour the Jelly Babies into the water. All hands are to be behind backs. On ‘Go’, 1st players run to bowl/bucket, grab a sweet with their teeth and run back to second player. 1st team to eat sweets is winner.

Yogi Dunking

Players: Equal Teams
Each Team: A bowl of water and a packet of Maltesers and a bowl of flour with wine gums deep in flour.
Players sit in relay form, with a bowl/bucket of water about 5 meters in front of their team. Just prior to start of game, pour Maltesers into the water. All hands are to be behind backs. On ‘Go’, 1st players run to bowl/bucket grab a sweet with their teeth then go to the flour bowl, grab a sweet and run back to 2nd player. 1st team to eat all their sweets is winner.

Chin Pass

Players: Equal Teams
Each Team: For each Team a sponge and a good supply of water
Teams form a relay, with a wet sponge at one end. On the word ‘Go’, the wet sponge is placed under player one then passed to player two and so on to the end of the line. At last player, sponge is resoaked and passed back up the line. 1st team finished is the winner.
HANDS ARE NOT PERMITTED

Water Catch

Players: Any in pairs
You will need a supply of balloons, each filled with water
Players face each other and stand about one metre apart. One player throws the balloon to his partner, the balloon catcher then takes a step back and throws the balloon to his partner, who then takes a step back. This continues until someone drops the balloon. See how far apart they can go successfully without getting wet feet.
